Over the years, he’s seen a number of antique and expensive watches come under the magnifying glass. He says he can quickly tell how well the owner took care of his or her watch, which impacts their appraisal value.
In a recent Provident Loan Society VLOG, Anthony gave advice to watch owners on how to care for their fine watches.

Anthony is a certified gemologist and recognized jewelry expert, who has been featured on WABC Channel 7, WPIX Channel 11, and Fox 5 News. Certified gemologist Anthony LoRe has been appraising jewelry at Provident Loan Society for more than 15 years. Over the years, a countless number of antique and fine expensive watches have gone under his Loupe – or magnifying glass – for closer scrutiny. When he looks under the Loupe, he can immediately identify how well the owner took care of his or her watch.
Anthony says a watch that is properly cared for will frequently outlive the owner. In a recent Provident Loan Society VLOG, he gave advice to watch owners on how to care for their fine watches.

Before I joined the Provident Loan Society, I owned my own jewelry store. A regular client of ours comes into the store one morning, requesting a new leather band for his watch. As I guide him over to our selection of bands, he proceeds to tell me a story. (more…)
